In his artistic practice, Jacob Bartmann highlights, extracts, enlarges, or rearranges everyday objects. Translating them into another material is an important tool for reconfiguring and rethinking their qualities and meanings.

Everything is already here! Together, we’ll explore the exhibition VALLY WIESELTHIER. Ceramic Sculptor and take a closer look at the MAK’s architecture. We’ll search for figures, forms, and objects that spark our particular interest. Afterwards, we’ll create our own ceramic artworks from clay: playing with familiar forms and their meanings from Jacob Bartmann’s world—such as sticks, planters, or lemons—and arranging them into our own ceramic assemblages.

What happens when a plant pot suddenly becomes something completely different, or a lemon takes on a new meaning?
